Anne G. Devlin has served as President of Max Gartenberg Literary Agency for the past 15 years. She acquires books in a wide range of areas in the humanities and social sciences. She works with authors writing general readership books, as well as scholarly books. She has worked with many prominent authors and published hundreds of books that have won numerous prizes.
A graduate of Northeastern University, Anne began her career in journalism serving as the editor of ten community weekly newspapers. She has been involved with the launch of a Princeton city magazine and owned and managed daily operations of MarketingWorks, a full-time educational marketing company whose clients included Time-Life Books, Houghton Mifflin and Scholastic. She has also managed an 8-county territory for The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News to promote childhood literacy.
Special interests: current events, environment, biography, women's issues, music, parenting, sports, business, health, lifestyle, how-to, self-help, politics, history, true crime, pets, popular culture, celebrity, education, science, religion, children's and young adult non-fiction and narrative non-fiction.
